I’m 64, a grandmother, mother, sister and, I suppose, orphan since my dear old mum passed away a couple of years ago. That means it’s me on the front line now, and feeling somewhat responsible (as the oldest sister!) for passing on our family lore before it all passes out of living memory! Wish I’d paid more attention as a youngster when the venerable members of my – rather large – family were indulging in their reminiscences…
But thankfully, nowadays we have the internet and the likes of Ancestry.com and Genes Reunited to help us track down those elusive relatives. Plus programmes like “Who Do You Think You Are” have made us all experts in genealogy – haven’t they?
So, this is who I think I am!
